After serving 12 years (and counting...) as a Firefighter /Paramedic with training as a Fire Prevention Code Inspector and Property Maintenance Code Inspector, I have started EM Property Inspection Inc.

More people than you would think live in dangerous homes without even realizing it. I have seen everything from improperly built decks to electrical systems that are major fire and safety hazards that could cause incredible bodily harm or even death. As a home inspector I'm always amazed at how many people cut corners to save money, but ultimately it is only a matter of time before something terrible happens.

Some of the accidents I have responded to as a Fireman could have been avoided if there had been properly built stairs with hand rails, the proper exits for the basements, heating systems that were properly maintained (and installed), electrical systems that were properly updated, and the list goes on and on.
